My Beginning IEW writing students recently wrote a critique of one of their recently-read novels. It’s a bit harder than writing a critique of a short children’s book like Horton Hatches the Egg, but they are doing a great job. The confidence they are showing when faced with a writing challenge is wonderful to see!
One mistake I see over and over even with my high school students is the run-on sentence. It can be tricky and easy to overlook. Some students aren’t sure how to fix it, so I created another mini lesson on how to do it.
I hope this video is helpful for students and parents. If you have a writing problem you’d like to see me do a review video on, please let me know!
